How do I replace my old Baffin seat with a new one?

Here are the instructions for the Baffin P1 seat kit (BK002) or the Baffin P2/P3 Seat Kit (BK005), 

Replacing the seat is very simple.

1.- Remove the old kayak seat by removing the 2 screws on each side of the cockpit rim that hold the seat in place.

2.- Place the new seat into the kayak, make sure the top of the 2 sides are centred with the holes for the screws, then put some weight on the seat to ensure it will not move or slide , or ask for someone's help to keep it in place without moving.

3.- If the kayak is a bit deformed and you see space between the top of the seat-sides and the kayak (where it will be screwed), washers (plastic or stainless steel - not provided) can be used to prevent any damage on the seat while using it.

4.- 4.- With a 5mm drilling bit, proceed to drill the holes on the top sides of the seat, using the 2 existing holes at each side of the cockpit-Rim of the boat, as a gig or guide. After making the first hole, place the screw on it before making the next one, to ensure precision while doing the next ones. At the end, install washers and nuts underneath the sides of the seat, tightening them enough; it should be all.
